SNG'z Present: Static Jack (A teaser from the Static Jack Mixtape)
Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 1:21AM Static Jack - "The Rize of A.O.N."
So if you've been a halfway frequent visitor to this site over the past year, you might have wondered why it is that the SNG'z page here was started, and yet never really got anything on it but a test post (from months and months ago).
The thing is, one of the many things ol' Raspalong does with his production skills is he drops some wicked mic-skills as "The SNG'z". I had intended to put my own music up here. Only I'm not quite ready to do that yet, for reasons that I'll not yet delve into. But another thing I do is I produce music for others. Which brings us to this here post...
You see, a while back, I happened to have a chance conversation with a regular customer of mine, and it turned out that the kid has considerable talent on the mic. He's a pretty talented rapper, and I'm a somewhat modestly endowed producer, so the possibilities inherent there were a bit too much to ignore. He was looking for a chance to get his music out to the people, and me, I'm always looking for ways to sharpen my own production skills and broaden my production horizons so to speak. So I offered to give him some studio time, and produce his mixtape for him.
Several months later, we've got several songs done. (Three of those songs, we're releasing to the general public now). I think the kid's got a ton of talent, and could well make a huge impact in hip-hop if he keeps growing and evolving as an artist and as a wordsmith. But don't take my word for it. Have a listen to the songs linked to in this post, and let me know what you think, if you don't mind. :D
That said, I'm proud to present Static Jack (aka A.O.N.), the first of (hopefully) many artists standing proud under the Brookhaven Productions banner. Here's three of his songs. Listen and enjoy. Feedback is welcome. :)
