Brookhaven Remixes

D.J. Raspe: Reading audio waves like Cypher reads the Matrix. Some of my production is politically motivated, politically charged, politically aware. Actually, a lot of it. But sometimes, I just need to get away from it all and regain a little bit of sanity, because politics is the ultimate insanity...
So sometimes I do audio that DOESN'T have a purpose, some ulterior motive to its making, but is, rather, created just for the sake of the joy of creation. I don't possess all that much legitimate musical talent (translation: I'm lazy), so I remix other people's stuff. For fun. Just one of the many things I do to keep myself from utterly snapping, I suppose.
Posted below are some of my favorite remixes that I've done. They're nothing all that stupendous. But, I dunno, I enjoy them. I enjoy listening to them during the quiet moments.
One thing about my remixes. When I can, I keep things subtle, and try to keep in as much of the original material as I can. The ones who originally made it are, after all, way better at music than I am. Sometimes, I just add a drumline. Sometimes, I get more creative than that, but I do generally try my best to make it all match up. Sometimes I even succeed. :p
Enjoy.
