This page is dedicated to the various pieces of production I've produced over the years for the Brookhaven Chronicles podcast. My production takes many different forms.  Sometimes it takes the form of fake commercials, or Undewriting Grants, and sometimes it takes the form of Sweepers.  Sometimes it takes the form of interviews with various people either real or fictional.

Flaming Affair: The One Stop Destination for all your Emo NeedsThese little pieces of production are as mortar is to a brick wall. They hold everything together, and everything would fall apart without them. This is, I think, one of the truths I have learned about audio-production: A podcast without the little production odds and ends to fill it out just plain sucks. I will admit that I am far from the perfect producer. I try, but perfection continues to elude me. Not all my production is top-quality, I'm sad to say, but I try.

At any rate, I've put it up here for you to listen to and/or download, for free. If you find something you like and would like to play it on your own show, I don't mind, so long as you give me credit.

    Cast Lead(ership Down!)

Brookhaven Symphonic Poetry: SNG'z - Cast Lead(ership Down!)

Crafted from "Opening Theme" by Bob Cobert and Mark Northam, originally appearing on the original soundtrack for "War and Remembrance".

    Listen:

The lyrics in this piece (most of 'em) were originally part of a song, called "Evening Sun", which I intend to put on the SNG'z second album (I know, I know, I haven't even released the first one yet.  I've kinda been working on both albums simultaneously).

This piece of Symphonic Poetry came about because, well, I suppose you could say I was motivated by my lack of motivation. :p

    Higher Education

Brookhaven Symphonic Poetry: SNG'z - Higher Education

Crafted from "Parade of the Slave Children" by John Williams, originally appearing on the original soundtrack for "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom".

    Listen:

So the story behind this one goes like this:  One night, I was on Facebook, and I was arguing with a guy who happens to be a teacher.  He was bitching about how worthless his students are.  So I laid into him, and we got in this big huge argument and said a lot of mean, naughty words to each other.  He was not the only teacher that I've had such a fight with, either.

Brookhaven Remixes: The Forsaken Province (Raspe Moonlight Mix)

Crafted from "Forsaken Province - Cemetary" by Joe Lyford, originally appearing on the original soundtrack for "Gauntlet: Dark Legacy".

    Listen:

I love this remix.  I think this is awesome.  It might be my favorite one that I've done so far.  And Joe Lyford is an excellent composer. Just saying...

Let Me Sleep So I may Dream (Raspe Somnus Mix)

Brookhaven Remixes: Let Me Sleep So I May Dream (Raspe Somnus Mix)

Crafted from "Let Me Sleep So I May Dream" by Yuko Takehara, originally appearing on the original soundtrack for "Breath of Fire II".

    Listen:

This is a remix of a song from Breath of Fire II.  I've long been a fan of the Breath of Fire series, and I've thought for years that I should remix this tune, so I finally got around to it.  The results were not bad at all.

Kuja Suite (Raspe Hellfire and Brimstone Mix)

Brookhaven Remixes: The Kuja Suite (Raspe Hellfire and Brimstone Mix)

Crafted from "Immoral Melody", "Kuja Leaving Burmecia", "Messenger of Destruction", and "The Fall of Neo-Kuja" by Nobuo Uematsu, originally appearing on the original soundtrack for "Final Fantasy IX".

    Listen:

Well, I appear to be obsessed with remixing Kuja's theme from Final Fantasy IX.  I've remixed it over and over and over.  I also appear to be obsessed with the concept of Hell.  I can't really say why.  I've been there.  I conquered it and resurrected.  I passed the test, the trial, the ordeal.

But the concept of a realm which is in constant Revolution.  Fascinating.  Even more so because many seem, if you'll excuse the term, hell-bent on living in that dimension...

Brookhaven Remixes: Smack My Bitch Up (Raspe Taj-o-Tron Mix)

Crafted from "Smack My Bitch Up" by Prodigy, originally appearing on the album "Fat of the Land".

    Listen:

Really, I just made this remix because, well, it seemed so easy.  And it was.  It's all mathematics.

Not really much else to say about this one.  It's pretty routine...

    Forgotten Days (Raspe Dual-Flute Mix)

Brookhaven Remixes: Forgotten Days (Raspe Dual-Flute Mix)

Crafted from "Forgotten Days" by Miki Higashino, originally appearing on the original soundtrack for "Genso Suikoden I".

Crafted from "Forgotten Days" by the Rain Book. Originally featured on the "Genso Suikoden Celtic Collection", Vol. 2.

    Listen:

This is one of those songs of which even a sophist cannot twist the meaning.  So it seems to me, anyways.  I can listen to this over and over, in any way I choose, and the message remains the same.  This is a tune which speaks of Halcyon Days in a time that is passed.

Sword and Shield (Raspe Epic Mix)

Brookhaven Remixes: Sword and Shield(Raspe Epic Mix)

Crafted from "Opening" and "Battlefield Without Light" by Miki Higashino. Originally featured on the original soundtrack for "Genso Suikoden II".

    Listen:

There once was a mighty Rune, a Great Rune, that was called the Rune of Beginning.  And in time, the Rune of Beginning was rent asunder, into two parts.  And those two parts were called the Black Sword Rune and the Bright Shield Rune.

Now, the Black Sword Rune was expert at offense, and the art of the attack.  It was a powerful weapon, and in all the Universe there was not its equal in the power of its attack.  And in after times the hearts of Men, yearning for power, would be bound inexorably to the power of the Black Sword Rune.

Libya: The Empire Strikes Back (And Is Weakened At Home)

Brookhaven Truthaganda Pieces:  Libya: The Empire Strikes Back(And Is Weakened At Home)

Crafted from "Ruins" and "Temple" by Joe Lyford. Originally featured on the original soundtrack for "Gauntlet: Dark Legacy".

    Listen:

This piece is sort of a sequel of the Egypt one. I had originally envisioned, since I had predicted that unrest would spread throughout North Africa and the Middle East, as well as down into the Persian Gulf states, that I should make a whole series of these. I might yet do that. I could probably make one about Yemen pretty easily. Maybe Algeria. Maybe Bahrain. Now Syria's rising, and Iraq...plenty material for Revolutionary content.

I just wish lives weren't lost because of it. It's so stupid to have the war before the Peace Conference. If people would just learn to have the Peace Conference first, they wouldn't have to fight the war, which, after all, always ends up back at the Peace Conference anyway...

Egypt: Until the Victory is Forever!

Brookhaven Truthaganda Pieces:  Egypt: Until the Victory Is Forever!

Crafted from "Overture" by Elmer Bernstein. Originally featured on the original soundtrack for "The Ten Commandments".

    Listen:

This piece was made during the now almost legendary Tunisia and Egypt uprisings that made the beginning of 2011 so unforgettable. I was sitting here thinking of the things that I could do here in the middle of the Continent to help people of another continent in some way, shape, or form, while they were doing what I've only had the opportunity to talk about for years. I figured I could at least make some Truthaganda in support of their cause.  So I did.

    Rent is Too Damn High!

Brookhaven Truthaganda Pieces:  Jimmy "The People's Champion" McMillan: The Rent Is Too Damn High!

Crafted from "Weapon Attack" by Nobuo Uematsu. Remastered by Final Fan Tim.

    Listen:

So last night, I was sitting here trying to think of ideas for content to put in my podcast, the Brookhaven Chronicles, since I'm planning on putting together a new season of the show.  And I was scouring the tubes looking for audio and or video that might be useful in inspiring some production pieces.  Well, lo and behold, I ran across some footage of the recent New York Gubernatorial Debate (held October 18th, if I'm not mistaken...)

The "Lost Reagan Speeches": God and Oligarchy

Brookhaven Truthaganda Pieces:  The "Lost Reagan Speeches": God and Oligarchy

Crafted from "Ceremony" by Miki Higashino

Crafted from "Flight of the Red Wings" by Nobuo Uematsu. Performed by the Tokyo City Philharmonic.

    Listen:

Just a word of warning to you here.  Some of you might very well find this piece offensive.  I find it kinda offensive myself, and I'm the one that put it together.  By moving a word around here or there, I managed to do what might well have otherwise been impossible...I managed to make Ronald Reagan tell the truth about the Christian Church, the State, and probably even out his own opinion about the value of human life.

    Thunderclap (New World Order)

Brookhaven Truthaganda Pieces:  Thunderclap (New World Order)

Crafted from "Seeking Power" by Hayato Matsuo

Crafted from "The Beginning of the End" by Hitoshi Sakimoto

    Listen:

So this piece is called "Thunderclap", and in the opening of the song, you hear why.  My reason for choosing thunder particularly in this piece has to do with the fact that, as of the time when I put this together, my view of what was going on in my homeland, indeed, what continues to go on in my homeland, I had a very bad feeling, like thunder off in the distance heralding the approach of the Perfect Storm.  It turns out, I think, that I was correct in that unease, because the picture right now for someone in my station in society, namely, the peasantry...is very, very, VERY grim.  But not without hope, I suppose...at least, while I still continue to draw breath, anyway.  I can only answer for myself, but I'll continue to struggle for a society ordered to the common need, until I die.

    Listen:

This is the 5th and final interview in the Curtis Seaver Pentateuch.  It was previously unreleased, because, well, the sound quality in this one just plain sucks.  The content's great.  But the sound quality is not good at all.

    Curtis Interview #4

Brookhaven Interviews:  Curtis Interview #4: Curtis On the 4th

    Listen:

In this interview, which was recorded on July 4, 2005, Curtis talks about what the 4th of July means to him, and what he thinks of freedom and civic duty.  He also talks about the architecture of the Brookhaven Apartments, our former home, and also he talks about the unique and relatively benign if somewhat mischevious little ghost which inhabits that apartment complex.  I call him "Bob".

    Curtis Interview #3

    Brookhaven Interviews:  Curtis Interview #3

    Listen:

This is actually a pretty well produced interview.  And Curtis also seems particularly...I don't know...poignant...in this one.  In this, the third of the five interviews in the Curtis Seaver Pentateuch, Curtis tells all you listeners out there about his life working with aquatic mammals such as dolphins and whales.  Curtis is a man of the sea, after all.  Which is kind of ironic, considering I met the man when he was in South Dakota, which is entirely landlocked and is about 1500 to 2000 miles from any sea whatsoever.
